India's Best Playing XI For 2nd Test Against England Without Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Bumrah was India’s best bowler in the first Test of the ongoing five-match series against England. The 31-year-old pacer, who is ranked first among ICC Test bowlers, bowled 24.4 overs in the first innings and picked up five wickets for 83 runs. He remained wicketless in the second innings but didn’t concede many runs as well. Bumrah, who was the only bowler to make life difficult for English batters in the series opener, which India lost by five wickets, is doubtful for the second Test.

It has been reported by Indian media that as part of his workload management, Bumrah will skip the second India-England Test in Birmingham from July 2 to 6. Bumrah’s absence will be a big setback for Shubman Gill & Co. at Edgbaston, a venue where India have never won a Test match before.
If Bumrah misses out, then Mohammed Siraj will lead India’s bowling attack along with Prasidh Krishna, and one out of Akash Deep and Arshdeep Singh will be the third seamer.
Since making his Test debut for India against England in Ranchi last year, Akash Deep has played seven Tests and has 15 wickets to his name. On the other hand, Arshdeep is yet to make his red-ball debut for Team India, but he has achieved great success for India in white-ball cricket. The left-arm pacer is India’s highest wicket-taker in T20Is and has impressed with his bowling performances in ODIs as well.
